B.Tech Admission in Delhi

Nearly every engineering seat in Delhi is reached with a JEE Main score; what changes is who allots the seat. IIT Delhi requires JEE Advanced after JEE Main and allots through JoSAA, the national counselling body shared by IITs, NITs, IIITs and centrally funded institutions. Delhi's own technical universities — DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, IIIT-Delhi and DSEU — counsel together through JAC Delhi on the JEE Main All India rank, with registration and choice-filling on the official JAC portal. Two details of JAC Delhi matter more than most applicants expect. First, the published seat matrices separate Delhi-region seats from outside-Delhi seats within each category, and candidates select their region during JAC registration rather than inheriting it from the JEE Main application. Second, JAC states that none of its participating institutions has a management quota, so there is no parallel paid route into DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, IIIT-Delhi or DSEU.

Outside JAC, GGSIPU runs its own centralised counselling on JEE Main merit for its University Schools and its affiliated colleges, including MAIT. Jamia Millia Islamia uses JEE Main Paper 1 merit but requires a separate application on its own portal, and it applies the reservation framework set out in its prospectus.
